A really special friend of mine connected me to this event.

I had the honor to connect with some of the talented Designers via social media recently

and now I have the opportunity to introduce them to you.

Check out their websites and follow them on Social Media!

The show featured 26 designers from 17 countries showing a total of 173 looks over four runway shows.

I will be there, backstage, experiencing the whole production, meeting the Designers and models.

The production is part of the Oxford Fashion Studio season of runway shows which spans

September through to November and includes runway shows in London, Paris, Oxford, Houston and Los Angeles.

Oxford Fashion Studio exists to discover and support brilliant emerging designers wherever in the world they can be found.

SJB Millinery is a fresh, new couture and bespoke headwear creator out of Vienna, Virginia. The owner and primary milliner, SJ Brown, grew up around a phenomenal great grandmother who was a master of the art in Birmingham, Alabama, in the 1940s and 1950s. SJ’s great grandmother taught her how much more beautiful a woman is when she puts the finishing touches on an ensemble (i.e. wears a wonderfully crafted headpiece). Specializing in one-of-a-kind fascinators and hats, SJ beautifully covers the heads of some of the most stunning women in Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland. She uses eco-friendly (recycled, upcycled, vintage, antique) and humanly-made (no-kill feather suppliers and humanely raised furriers) materials whenever possible to ensure her clients get the best quality for a fair price while still feeling good about their purchases. Her works of art have traveled around the nation as well as to Europe and have been featured in magazines, on the catwalk and in the blogsphere. SJB Millinery is a member of the Millinery Guild (USA) and has given herself the continuous role of ensuring millennials and future generations appreciate hats!

“I will never tell a woman (or man for that matter) what fashion ‘is’ because I believe fashion is within and what you think it is for you,” said SJ Brown. “Who am I to tell you what fashion is to you? I make what I like, create hats that I would like to wear. And if you like what I create as well, great. But if you don’t, that is the beauty of fashion … everyone has their own.”
